The Magical Town El Rosario, Sinaloa invites you to enjoy the festivities for the 361 anniversary of the devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary which will be extended during these days until the first of October.
With an extensive program of religious, cultural and artistic activities the inhabitants of El Rosario will welcome the more than 60,000 thousand visitors expected for this holiday.
Within the main activities in which you can participate with your family are:
- Thursday, September 28th – Commemoration of the 55th Anniversary of the Consecration of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary.
- Saturday September 30th – At 23:00 hours everyone will gather in the church to sing ‘Las Mañanitas’ (traditional Mexican birthday song) to the Virgin where it is expected the participation of Maria Elena Leal, daughter of the deceased Lola Beltran, who was considered the greatest exponent of the Mexican vernacular music and who in life was the one who headed ‘Las Mañanitas’ to the Virgin.
- Sunday, October 1st – From 5:00 am will be realized 8 masses during the course of the day and at 17:00 hours start with the pilgrimage that year after year manages to summon more than 40,000 people. This pilgrimage is carried out through the streets of the village with the image of the Virgin of Our Lady of the Rosary and at night the activities are closed with a festival of music and pyrotechnics called Lights of Faith.
