The NutcrackerAs part of the billboard of the Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2019 the Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlan bring to you the classic Christmas work “The Nutcracker” based on the children’s story of E. T. A. Hoffmann with Tchaikovsky’s melodies.

The Nutcracker tells the wonderful experience of Clarita, a little girl who receives a Nutcracker as a Christmas gift which will come alive to fight against endless evils of the mouse king, leading viewers to live a story full of fantasy and courage. The Nutcracker will perform at the Angela Peralta Theater on December 6 and 7, 2019 at 8:00 pm.

Directed by Maestro Hector Javier Reyes “From the New World” will perform at the Angela Peralta Theater on October 16, 2019 at 8:00 pm.

Mexicanisimo Camerata MazatlanAs part of the celebrations of the patriotic month (in Mexico, the month of September is known as the patriotic month because we commemorate the anniversary of its Independence) the Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2019 brings to all of you “Mexicanisimo” where the Camerata Mazatlan will pay a special tribute to Mexican music under the baton of Maestro Hector Javier Reyes, in an unforgettable evening.

Mexicanisimo and the Camerata Mazatlan will make a tour of all the states of the Mexican Republic interpreting the different artists and composers of Mexican regional music taking for you a night of Mexican art.

Tremble Heart Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2019The talent and sensitivity of Mexican artists Daniela Herrera and Mayra Kuri will come together to shape the project: ‘Yolcuecuechca: Tremble Heart’ that through images and other techniques will highlight the emotions that the faces and bodies express in a unique exhibition that will be open to the public from September 3rd in the Rubio Gallery of the Angela Peralta Theater.

The collection is composed of 10 images that use techniques such as photography, painting and traditional Mexican embroidery whose goal is to reflect emotions such as joy, calm, pride, anger and repulsion, presented in different shades of white and black that will try to shake the heart of the viewer.

The opening of the exhibition will be on September 3rd at 7:00 pm, and will be available to the gallery from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
