With the participation of more than 6,000 runners took place successfully last December 4th, 2011on the beautiful levee of Mazatlan’s port, the Great Marathon Pacific Mazatlan 2011 in its 13th edition, as in previous years brought together participants from around the world and a large number of spectators who had gathered from early morning to support their family and friends.

In the XIII edition of the Great Marathon Pacific Mazatlan 2011 the absolute winner was the Kenyan Simon Kariukiwho not only became a successful champion but in addition it broke the record that from 2004 held the Mexican Juan Gualberto Vargas doing a tour in 02:11:07 hours. The second and third was given to Joel Siree and Isaac Wawerurespectively, those who returned to teach with authority the African power.

In the feminine area, Mexico win the first place with Karina Perez, with a time of 2.36, for its part, the Kenyan Pauline Githuka and Neria Nyaboke achieved the second and third place respectively.
