Festival of Light Mazatlan 2013

As part of the celebrations of the Great Pacific Marathon 2013 to be held in the beautiful port of Mazatlan from November 30th to December 1st, Saturday November 30th the Malecon in Mazatlan, considered one of the longest in the world with an approximate length of 21 Km, will light up with a great fireworks show for the enjoyment of all families.
The Festival of Light is just one of the attractions that are offered during the Great Pacific Marathon, organized by the Three Islands Hotel Association and the Municipal Government.
The official program begins at 5:00 pm with the release of sea turtles at Mazatlan Aquarium where authorities of the Permanent Program Sea Turtlewith the citizenship release hundreds of Olive Ridley sea turtles, this is undoubtedly one of the most touching spectacles that take into Mazatlan, since to be present at a turtle release is an unforgettable experience especially for children who thus begin to understand and engage in the importance of preserving wildlife in our planet.
After the turtle release there is carried out ‘Botorgas Race’ who get hold of the sympathy of children and adults and where the laughs never cease.
Finally at 8:00 pm the Malecon of Mazatlan are shaded to give way to the amazing Festival of Light that in its previous edition attracted more than 10,000 multicolored rockets of different styles and intensities, where the showiest were the mortars style Disneyland, Roman candles, bouquets of chrysanthemums, crown strainers, among others.
