Dido & Eneas Opera: Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2017

Dido and Aeneas, one of the most important operas of the Baroque that narrates the unfortunate love story between Dido, the Queen of Carthage and the Trojan prince Eneas, conqueror of Rome, will be presented on December 8 and 9 at the emblematic Angela Peralta Theater at 20:00 hours.
With the participation of DELFOS Contemporary Dance, the soloists Sarah Holcombe, Andres Carrillo, Oralia Castro, Rebeca de Rueda; the Camerata Mazatlan and the Guillermo Sarabia Choir the Institute of Culture will present the edition of ‘Dido and Eneas’ by the composers Imogen Holst and Benjamin Britten, one of the most attractive versions of this magnificent opera house.
From October 5 to December 16 will be the long awaited Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2017 that this year will shine as never since it will not only exceed any programming that has had in previous years but with this edition will celebrate 100 years of cultural life in Mazatlan.
