The Secretary of the Municipal City Council, Joel Boucieguez, announced the opening of two new tourist markets: Handcrafted Market and Malecon Market where visitors will be able to find souvenirs, handicrafts and typical gastronomy of the port.
The Handcrafted Market will be located in what nowadays knows as the Flowers Market in the center of the city and the Malecon Market will be located on Del Mar Avenue, in what used to be Coliseos; its concept will be very similar to the Mercado Roma in Mexico City, where there are organic and gourmet food stalls, fast food outlets as well as stores and restaurants of the city.

Located at the north end of Mazatlan towards Cerritos and whose beauty has allowed it to consolidate as one of the most emblematic places of the port, Playa Brujas, exotic place surrounded by nature and that is the delight of the water sports fans for the impetus of its waves, will enter a program to certify about 800 linear meters of its beaches in order to preserve and order this area of Mazatlan.
The Clean Beaches Committee of Mazatlan in the forum “Load capacity and management of beaches” organized by the Federal Ministry of Tourism exposed the need to certify more beaches of Mazatlan with the aim to allow a sustainable development that avoids the deterioration and with which it will be possible to guarantee adding good options for leisure in the port.
The certification of a beach implies the signaling, establishment of a current regulation, as well as guaranteeing its cleaning and vigilance that is, to protect its conservation.
In this way Mazatlan seeks to grow its tourist attraction by offering clean and certified beaches for leisure and fun for its visitors.

In recent days, the Mayor of Mazatlan officially opened the access to Paseo Olas Altas, which was in renovation phase and that from now will become a pedestrian promenade that will contribute to the leisure and recreation of the community of Mazatlan and its visitors.
Every day from 6:00 pm and up to 01:00 am, the Paseo Olas Altas that covered the streets of Malpica and Dr. Hector Gonzalez will close its vehicular area in order that the families come and enjoy the beauty that Mazatlan gives us. It should be noted that the use of bicycles, skateboards and skates will be allowed only for the vehicular channel, since the sidewalks will be of exclusive use for pedestrians or people who wish to admire sitting the sunsets of the port.

As part of the improvements that are being made in the port of Mazatlan in front of the arrival of the Tianguis Turistico 2018 which will take place in the city from April 16 to 19, the state authorities announced the next opening of the Tourist Assistance and Protection Center (CAPTA) whose objective will be to give security guarantees to the tourist as for example, resolve situations due to bad service or abuses on the part of the service providers, support them in attention, etc.
With the installation of the Tourist Assistance and Protection Center (CAPTA) Mazatlan wants to tell its visitors that they will have an institution specially designed and made for them, where they will provide full support to make their stay pleasant and exceed their expectations.
