Sovereign of Mazatlan’s International Carnival 2012

Karla Alvarez and Astrid Tirado became the sovereigns of the most emblematic holiday in the port: Mazatlan’s International Carnival 2012 "The Fair of Empires".

On a night steeped in glamor style of the great cabarets of the world held the contest for the election of the Carnival Queen and the Floral Games Queen at the beautiful Angela Peralta Theater where the joy of the spectacle and the euphoria of the spectators did that night, an evening to remember.

The jury was composed of Zoila Fernandez, Francisco Igartúa, Mónica Coppel, Neri Jorge González, Jorge Fuentevilla, Jean Carlo Parolari, Abelardo Juárez, Esperanza Kasuga, Carmen Estrada and the president was Celia Jáuregui.

The process of qualification of the candidates included the stage of mind and beauty, where Astrid Tirado got 169 points close to Karla Álvarez who scored 179 points. In the final and decisive stage, each aspiring answered a question chosen at random where amid sounds of jubilation were announced the winners.
