As part of the celebrations, the Institute of Culture, Tourism and Arts of Mazatlan has been prepared to enjoy the month of October with a lot of art in our port, on October 22th, the Municipal School of Classical Ballet (EMBC) mounted the work "The Abduction and Danzon of Almendra”, created and directed by the teacher Zoila Fernandez Fernandez where also will feature the talents of students from the Professional School of Dance in Mazatlan.
The EMBC emerged in 1989 with the effort and impulse of various entities who dreamed of having a center of high performance and artistic level in Mazatlan. A year later this project was able to realize its task of promoting and since 1994 the Institute has the artistic and technical support of National Ballet School of Cuba that has been part of achievements and awards that national and international level reached the Academy of Classical Ballet.
For its part, the School of Professional Dance Mazatlan, belonging to the Municipal Arts Center, was created in 1998 and in September 2004, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the State of Sinaloa provides validation of the curriculum at degree. Its recognition is reflected in the staffing of students and teachers from different parts of the world, among whom are members of the acclaimed contemporary dance company of Delfos.
The ideal setting for long-awaited event will be the majestic Theater Angela Peralta, which opens promptly at 20:00 hrs., having a nominal cost of $ 50 pesos.
