New Museum MUSMA in MazatlanBy
The businessman Ernesto Coppel Kelly and Marinela Servitje, creator of the project, together with the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Francisco Cordova Celaya and the Mayor of Mazatlan, Carlos Felton Gonzalez, presented at a press conference the concept of the new Museum of Mazatlan, MUSMA, which promises to be an emblematic work of the port.
MUSMA is a project that is pushing a business group that is expected to have the resources of the federation. Is still in its infancy but in six months months it is predicted to finish the executive Project, to be constructed in two years later.
MUSMA will have permanent and temporary collections to give flexibility in content, will seek to embed a shrimp boat and costumes representative of Mazatlan, also placing Third Dimension Theater and plan to make it self-sustainable.
Along with the new MUSMA museum, rehabilitation of Mazatlan’s Lighthouse (which sits on an impressive natural formation) is contemplated; equip the Forest City and the option to build a new Aquarium as California.
