Hotel Playa Mazatlan, company compromised with the environmental care, receives of hands of the Mr. Alejandro Lechuga (coordinator PROFEPA South Zone), in representation of the Mr. Alejandro Camacho, CEO of the Federal Environmental Protection (PROFEPA), the second endorsement of the Certificate of Environmental Quality and Tourism, which supports and stimulates it to continue integrating in his decisions and processes criteria of social responsibility and sustainable development.

During the award ceremony was attended by distinguished personalities who credited the legality of the event, Mr. Donn Vient, chairman of the board of directors of Hotel Playa Mazatlan, Mr. Raul Llera Martínez, Delegate for the Coordination of Tourism, Oceanographer Ignacio Velarde Iribe, Director of Ecology, Mr. Jose Sergio Carrillo Nuñez, head of office of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in Mazatlan, Oceanographer Miguel Lopez Tracy, Mr. Francisco Farriols Sarabia, among others.

The need to control the increasing environmental deterioration and to take care of the natural resources is not a fashionable topic, is a reality that compete to the whole society; hence the importance of making come out this class of programs of our daily life, to promote the relation of the man with the nature.
