Keys to the city will be delivered during the National Convention Nikkei 2014By
The Mayor of Mazatlan, Carlos Felton, announced that as part of the XIII National Convention Nikkei 2014 to be held in Mazatlan from 1 to 4 May, a formal City Council meeting was held to symbolically hand over the keys to the city and title of “Distinguished Guest” to Nobou Kishi, Hirofumi Nakasane, Shuichiro Megata, Mitsuro Donowaki and Tetsuya Waka.
Notably Nobou Kishi is the Chief Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and a member of the House of Representatives of Japan and one of the key pieces to the diplomacy of powerful Asian country.
The National Convention Nikkei is a meeting that takes place every year in different cities in Mexico to celebrate diplomatic relations between Mexico and Japan, choosing to host this edition the beautiful port of Mazatlan.
During the Convention will be recalled to the first Japanese who settled in Sinaloa and scholarships for youth exchange will be offered.
