Great Dance of Looks and Ambassadors
Ingenuity, creativity, beauty and fun is what you will find in the Great Dance of Looks and Ambassadors within the frame of Mazatlan's International Carnival 2011 will take place on Thursday at 20:00 hrs in the majestic Hall Gaviotas of the Hotel Playa Mazatlan where there will be prizes of 3, 5 and 10 thousand dollars for the winners.
The Dance of Looks is a traditional event of the Carnival where the participants test their ingenuity to represent public prominent figures, satires, ironies or funny situations with their "fachas" (colorful costumes made of different materials or recycled). In this year the juror will consider three categories: individual, couples and comparsa. In addition, during the Dance of the Looks will elect the new Queen of the Ambassadors from the interior of the country and foreigner.
The inscriptions will be accepted at the offices of the Institute of Culture, Tourism and Mazatlan's Art or in the Hall Gaviotas of the Hotel Playa Mazatlan, moments before initiating the event.
It is necessary to emphasize that the amount collected by concept of income and consumptions during the event will be donated to the Orphanage of Mazatlan.
The cost of the event will be $300 pesos with free drinks without alcohol, couches and live music. In addition all the participants shall be to take their bottles of ethyl with free corkage.
